How the White Rabbit Foundation Supports Cancer Recovery
The White Rabbit Foundation provides free recovery stays for cancer patients who cannot afford post-treatment care.
Our role begins after medical treatment ends—when patients need rest, stability, and personal support to heal.
STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS
Patient Referral & Eligibility
Patients are referred through medical professionals, caregivers, or direct application. We prioritize patients who lack financial means for post-treatment recovery care.
Placement on the Waiting List
Due to limited housing and funding, patients are placed on a waitlist. Currently, 327 patients are waiting, while we can support 8 patients per month. This waitlist is not theoretical—it reflects real people awaiting care.
Funding Enables Placement
Each recovery stay costs $9,780. When funding becomes available, a patient is scheduled for a recovery stay. Funding determines how quickly patients move from the waitlist into care.
Recovery Stay in Hawaii
Patients receive: Safe recovery housing in Hawaii, 24/7 personal care assistants, Daily living and emotional support, A quiet, grounding environment for healing, Space for family members to be present, Patients pay nothing for their stay.
Ongoing Support & Completion
Care continues throughout the recovery period. Once a patient completes their stay, space becomes available for the next person on the waitlist. Capacity increases only when funding and housing expand.
HOW DONORS FIT INTO THE PROCESS
How Your Support Changes the Timeline
Donations directly fund recovery stays.
More funding means:
- More patients served each month
- Shorter wait times
- Faster recovery access
There is no abstraction—donor support moves patients from waiting to healing.
